The Black Love Mural Festival has officially launched their open call for artists for registration via IRLART.com. The Black Love Mural Festival (BLMF) is a festival exclusively featuring black creatives. Black creatives make up less than 5% of artists at other mural festivals.

BLMF will highlight local creatives as well as artists from outside Colorado. Their 60+ murals make them the only black mural festival in the country & the first NFT mural festival. Walls will be placed from Bannock St. to N. Broadway spread throughout Civic Center Park.

“Our mission is to engage, educate & inspire black creatives using various forms of self-expression. Art, Music & Yoga are just a few examples of activations happening at the civic center park for the black love mural festival.” - Robert Gray.

Participants will be able to view murals on display and engage in an immersive experience via augmented reality. The Art will be available to collect as an NFT.

The event includes a weekly gathering of the community for a “Sunday Funday” at civic center park May 30th (A Celebration Of Life For George Floyd), June 6th, June 13th, June 20th, July 11th (MLB AllStar Week & Augmented Reality Release), August 1st (Closing Ceremony). Guests are invited to visit the mural 7 days a week and attend the family community days.

The vision is that guests will spread the love for the black community by appreciating their art.

“Art tells a story & we hope at least 1 story allows you to spread some love for black culture, black neighborhoods & black people in general.”

The Black Love Mural Festival is presented by IRL Art & Rob The Art Museum. Internationally sponsored by Unique. One, Nationally sponsored by Art House AR, & Local sponsors include Denver Parks & Recreation, Subverted Entertainment, Deep Space Drive-In, Good Elephant,& Nooch Vegan Market.
