Keo Frazier’s New Thinkers tackle Denver Environmental Challenges

New Thinkers – a group founded by entrepreneur Keo Frazier – hosted an event, in partnership with The Trust for Public Land, on April 30 at PlatteForum, which began with a tour of the Platte River’s history and impact led by City Councilmember Jolon Clark. The New Thinkers group continued to engage in a virtual discussion with Artivist Benjamin Von Wong, who creates art masterpieces from trash. Every aspect of the experience was environmentally conscious including the food, drinks, and dinnerware curated by the Vegan Epicurist. The goal of the experience was to help attendees discover the intersection of environmental challenges on a micro and macro level including history and economics—thinking about it locally and abroad.

Frazier’s New Thinkers’ events consistently have art woven into them, grown from her passion for art and the way art can impact people. “Art allows us to feel and sense something without words,” said Keo Frazier, founder of New Thinkers. “It gives us freedom to agree and disagree and come to a common ground, even though it might be communicating a difficult topic like social impact. Art inspires conversations about something without judgement.”

As with all New Thinkers’ events, the goal is to create a safe and open venue for discussion about a topical issue that incites action and change among the attendees. New Thinkers is designed to bring people together who are creating great change and solving world problems. The people invited are hand selected by our founder, Keo Frazier. The events are meant to inspire thought and to be inspired by others.

Events coming up include an afternoon with Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream about how to create a socially conscious business on June 4. A conversation with Judges to share inside perspectives on the judicial system is planned for September.

Membership to New Thinkers is $137 annually and includes several experiences, events and conversations geared towards action on topics like social justice, climate change, social biases, innovation, dismantling democracy, impact of culture on the world and interpersonal listening tools. Frazier poses the question “If we are not seeking to make the world better than we found it, why are we wasting time being here?” She is committed to leaving the world a better place and brings other thought leaders together who want to do the same.
