Moods, Beats and Potions, MBP’s Grand Opening set for June 11th

Gabrielle Crosby

The latest concept from Five Points based Pure Hospitality Group: Moods, Beats and Potions, known as MBP, is back and better than ever! Renovated with a contemporary bar, a larger dining room, and a chic patio, MBP re-opened in the Fall of 2020 to test out its new dinner concept. However, with the ever-changing COVID-19 restaurant dining requirements, the pop-up concept closed shortly thereafter.

With restrictions finally subsiding and outdoor dining becoming all the rage, the restaurant significantly expanded their patio and re-opens with a renewed sense of hope! With pops of red amongst the black décor, and with walls lined in greenery, guests have the opportunity to experience a unique upscaled supper club vibe.

What’s a progressive dining experience you may ask? It is where diners move through multiple spaces of the venue to enjoy the food, drink, and music. Imagine, you and your guests arrive at your designated reservation time, and upon checking in with the hostess you are directed to the bar. At the bar, you can try one of the latest new cocktails like the Welton 75 or enjoy your tried and true favorite. After indulging in your refreshing cocktail, your table is now ready, and you move into the dining room. You review the menu from a selection of flavorfully prepared appetizers, meats, fish, and vegetarian options. Don’t forget to try a wine or a cocktail that compliments your meal.

Now you dig in and savor your meal, as this is your time to unwind and relax. When it’s time for dessert, move to the back patio, where you will find the music is a little bit louder, some people may be dancing and where the waitstaff takes your dessert order. You conclude your dining adventure and close your evening with an amazingly designed dessert, or after dinner cocktail and see who else you may bump into!

The extraordinary chef behind this new fine dining culinary experience in Five Points is none other than Chef Corey Smith from Mimosas, MBP’s sister restaurant!

Chef Corey Smith, born and raised in New Orleans, attended University of Colorado at Boulder on a football athletic scholarship. He earned a degree in Communications and had an urge to try his hand at the Culinary Arts. He returned to New Orleans where he studied the Culinary Arts. He has worked with some of New Orleans’ top renowned chefs including Domonique Macquet and Emeril Lagasse.

While visiting Denver, he was offered a job with Kevin Taylor’s restaurant group and thus began his Denver culinary journey.  Throughout his 23-year career, he has traveled across the country and the world leading kitchens and opening restaurants. We are so fortunate to have his talents in Five Points, creating culinary masterpieces!

MBP is the perfect place for your business cocktail hour, elegant date night, or a girl’s night out on Denver’s sexiest patio!  Come try out the amazing New York Strip with Chimichurri sauce, or the Salmon with Beurre Blanc. Be sure to add collard greens, lobster mac and cheese or garlic mashed potatoes as your sides.  You will not be disappointed. The cuisine is one that is approachable, flavorful, and curated for the fine dining taste of Five Points!

If you’re looking for a great patio to enjoy the summer weather and grab delicious food MBP is the place for you! The Grand Opening for MBP will take place June 11th – 13th, make reservations now via OpenTable! The staff is looking forward to serving you.
