This year Halloween will fall on a Sunday giving us a great opportunity to celebrate the holiday over the entire weekend in Five Points.  On Saturday, Oct 30th from 3pm to 6pm put on your costumes and come down to Welton Street for a Halloween Scavenger Hunt and trick-or-treat street.  Teams can participate in the Scavenger Hunt, using clues to find interesting and important historic sites and people in the Five Points neighborhood. The cost for the scavenger hunt is $5 per team.   Businesses along Welton will be decorated for the Holiday and handing out Treats.  There is no cost for the trick-or-treating.   The scavenger Hunt will start at Coffee at the Points at 27th and Welton Street.

On Oct 31st, Halloween Sunday, from 3pm to 5pm come out for the 12th annual Curtis Park Great Pumpkin.  This small local event will occur at the Stout Street Children's Park at 2501 Stout Street.  The event features Halloween games, music, treats, a trick-or-treat street along Stout Street, a haunted graveyard and of course the Great Pumpkin, a 1000 pound real pumpkin grown each year especially for this event.  This event is free and open to children and ghosts from 0 to 110.  Neighbors can come to the party or participate by giving out candy at their homes to trick-or-treaters.  To have your home added to the trick-or-treat map, indicating that you will have candy for children on Halloween, email or text your address to the event organizers at 303-297-3994, haydenpryor@msn.com. before Oct. 25, 2021.  Happy Halloween Five Points!
