The historic Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The legendary group based in Five Points uses dance rooted in the African Diaspora to tell stories of the human condition and bring people together through movement. While COVID-19 has reduced the scale of performances and services offered at Cleo Parker Robinson, their much anticipated holiday staple, Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum, will still go on—but this year, the performance will be digital.

Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum is a 70-minute multicultural dance production that showcases the magic and joy of the holiday season across the world.

The title Granny visits countries and regions far and wide, from the continent of Africa to the Americas, Asia and the Caribbean. The show has been a part of CPRD’s annual season for nearly 30 years.

This year, ticket holders will receive a link to watch the performance from the comfort of their homes that can then be viewed from December 5th through January 2nd and used an unlimited amount of times. The base ticket level, Karamazaam Edition, starts at $30 and includes the at home ticket link to the regular cast performance. Other ticket levels include the opportunity to learn the choreography for certain dances from the show, special notes and gifts, and even an invitation to a Karamazaam happy hour zoom party with the cast.

Early Bird pricing has ended but visit this page to get your tickets now: https://cleoparkerdance.org/tickets/granny-dances-to-a-holiday-drum-2/
