Wakanda on Welton
November 10-16th, The Five Points BID will be bringing a Wakanda Experience to Welton Street in celebration of the upcoming release of Black Panther 2, on November 11th. The first Black Panther was a blockbuster Marvel movie that proudly celebrated African-American and African culture and traditions, and greatly promoted Hip-hop, Afrobeats, and African music, as well as the principle of global African diaspora unity. The Five Points Business Improvement District seeks “to bring this celebration” to Five Points, specifically Welton street, given its own historic significance in African-American history.
Soul Street on Clarkson set to open this month
With support of the City, the Five Points Business Improvement District has created Soul Street on Clarkson, a new outdoor dining area for the businesses in the Five Points Plaza. Behind the plaza on the closed Clarkson street is a new, lush and colorful hang out area where you can enjoy your food and drinks from 715, Agave Shore, Spangalang, Mimosas, Duke’s and more.
